Pete Harckham made the following statement this afternoon on reports that immigrant children being forcibly separated from their parents at the border are being held in Westchester County, including in at least one location within the 40th State Senate District:
“It is outrageous that some children being forcibly separated from their parents on the border are being held right here in Westchester, in this Senate District in fact. This scurrilous policy is not in keeping with Hudson Valley Values, not in keeping with American Values. When it’s happening in our backyard, silence is complicity, Sen. Murphy.”
